The new house

I hesitated to post pictures of the house we are in the process of buying because I didn't want to jinx anything (the loan is still being finalized)....but here it is! The house is about 1800 sq feet and sits on a small pond. Although the house is newer (we really wanted an older house to restore since new development is responsible for wildlife habitat loss) the previous owners were very green minded with the house design and it's energy usage. The ocean is less than a mile walk away and so is Fort Stevens State Park. We will only own .6 acres so, of course, our neighbors are much closer than they were in Gettysburg but perhaps that will help us ditch our anti-social ways :-)

And here's the house from behind....

Well I obviously emailed you before I checked your blog. WOW!!! This is the cutest, quaintest house I've ever seen! I know George will miss the land, but you will have so many friends - who can resist George and adorable Ada? I'm so happy for you guys. Congrats.

If the house is on a pond, do you have glass floors so you can see the fish playing below?
